FAQs

Q: What should I wear?

We'd love for you to dress in cocktail attire. It's a balance between comfortable and elegant, formal and casual (according to Google). Think cocktail dresses (of whatever length), pantsuits, suits and ties, etc. Feel free to add some pizzazz and color - this is a celebration after all!

Whatever you wear be sure it's comfortable so you can dance in it! It should be pretty warm in Raleigh still.

Q: What is parking like at the venue?

Street parking

There is no dedicated parking lot for the venue, but street parking downtown is free on the weekends! You may be able to find a spot on the street and walk. Depending on how busy it is this Saturday you may have to circle the block to find a space so give yourself enough time! You can leave your cars overnight if you do street parking (still free on Sundays) and Uber/Lyft to pick it up Sunday.

Paid decks and lots

Lot across from the venue (limited spots): Currently ~$12 for 12 hours

           - 311 South Harrington St

The Dillion Deck: $2 an hour or $18/day max

            - 215 S West Street

You can secure your parking spot ahead of time and get $1 off parking rates in lots run by Secure Parking by using code DTR when you checkout. You can pre-book about a month out here.

Q: Will the festivities take place inside or outside?

The ceremony will be indoors. After the ceremony, we’ll walk across the street to cocktail hour which will be outside but covered. Dinner will be indoors and then we’ll head back to Raleigh Founded for the party.

Q: Are there any other plans for the weekend that I should be aware of?

Yes! There will be a welcome gathering for guests arriving early hosted by Henry & Meredith Maroni at Nest Raleigh from 8pm-10pm Friday September 1st. All attendees are welcome, there will be light snacks and drinks. Dress is casual! We know folks are traveling in so wear whatever.

Welcome Gathering Location:

Nest Raleigh, 4th Floor

414 Fayetteville St.

Raleigh, NC 27601

Parking for the Welcome Gathering:

Street parking is free after 6pm around the Nest downtown. There are decks close by as well!

Q: Can I bring my kids?

As much as we wish we could have rented out a stadium to invite all of our loved ones, friends, extended family, and all of their offspring - we just wouldn’t have any money left to pay our bills and keep a roof over our heads which I hear is important in marriage. We absolutely love your kiddos but if they are not listed on the invite we hope this can be a fun date night/weekend for you!

Q: Will there be a place to leave physical gifts and cards?

Yes! Bring it to the ceremony :)
